Project Detail andEarly stage design process

Milan is one of the world’s fashion capitals, a trendsetter for fashion, textiles & design. The traditional success factor of the Italian textile industry is the ability to combine innovation, fashion, creative style with production technologies. It developed its own approach focused on sobriety, simplicity and quality of fabric.

The finest quality and durability of Italian fibre is also adding value in the recycled furniture and interior design industry. Milan is especially renowned for its role within the ready-to-wear category of fashion. A highly industrialized sector with many opportunities to improve.

Despite having focused on the innovative production and creativity focused approach, the current system for producing, distributing, and using clothing operates in an almost completely linear way the ‘take-make-dispose’ model. A circular economy holds the promise of prosperity that is restorative and regenerative by design. It is an approach to economic development designed to benefit businesses, society, and the environment. It is not simply focused on using less. Instead, it aims to keep product, components and materials at their highest utility and value at all times.

Service development phase

This design concept phase is aimed at verifying and discussing the ideas resulted from the concept generation session within the team and stakeholders, as well as to re-define them according to the co-design feedback. It consist in organising a co-design sessions with invited participants.

Final service design

Milano once more it’s a brand that offers a new consumption model for sustainability aimed at reducing overconsumption by keeping clothes at its highest value for the longest time possible.

By promoting a style that is sustainable involving the city tangible and intangible resources, we are able to circulate clothes more efficiently creating endless opportunities to re-imagine and improve our lifestyle.Customers can use this platform to have their clothes picked up, taken to a fashion consultant for an assessment and then redesigned and improved based on their preferences. A buy back option is implemented to encourage return.
